Charlie Kaufman
Charles Stuart Kaufman, né le 19 novembre 1958, est un scénariste et réalisateur américain. Il commence sa carrière à la télévision. Il écrit deux épisodes de la série de Chris Elliott Get a Life et collabore aux scénarios d'une douzaine d'autres séries comme Ned and Stacy ou The Dana Carvey Show. Charlie Kaufman rencontre le succès en écrivant le scénario de Dans la peau de John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich) de Spike Jonze, scénario qui lui vaut une nomination aux Oscars et un BAFTA. Il écrit ensuite Human Nature, qui sera réalisé par Michel Gondry, puis retrouve Spike Jonze pour Adaptation qui lui vaut une nouvelle nomination aux Oscars et un autre BAFTA. Kaufman écrit alors le scénario du premier film réalisé par George Clooney, Confessions d'un homme dangereux (Confessions of a Dangerous Mind), la biographie de l'animateur de jeux télévisés et soi-disant agent de la CIA Chuck Barris. En 2004 sort Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, sa seconde collaboration avec Michel Gond...
