George Michael
George Michael, nom de scène de Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, est un auteur-compositeur-interprète et producteur musical britannique, né le 25 juin 1963 à East Finchley (Grand Londres) et mort le 25 décembre 2016 à Goring-on-Thames (Oxfordshire). Georgios Panayiotou grandit dans la grande banlieue londonienne avec son père chypriote grec, sa mère anglaise et ses deux sœurs. Très tôt, la musique le passionne. En 1979, avec ses camarades de classe Andrew Ridgeley et David Austin, il fonde un groupe de ska appelé The Executive. Même s'ils ne rencontrent pas de succès, les trois amis veulent continuer à faire de la musique. En 1982, George Panayiotou et Andrew Ridgeley présentent leurs compositions au label Innervision Records, qui engage les deux jeunes gens. Leur groupe, appelé Wham!, sort son premier album en 1983. Georgios Panayiotou devient alors George Michael. Wham! connaît rapidement un succès international avec les chansons Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, Freedom, Everything She Wa...
